Seabass Immonen, Jacket For You

Seabass Immonen (2023, Apparel Design and International Relations)
Jacket for You, 2022
Upcycled velvet, recycled faux fur, recycled blue polyester, yellow dyed wool, straps, buckles, elastic, polyester lining

Blue recycled fabrics and yellow wool sewn into a trench coat with puff faux sleeves. Straps, buckles, and a headband are used to create the aesthetic of exercise and active wear. The faux sleeves elevate the piece to demonstrate regality and pride despite constant criticism and ostracism.

Ice inspired with sturdy blue materials to stand against the mythology of fragile sensitivity. As cold as the world is, we can bear through it with grace. The recycled materials are themselves collected objects, a story of finality and beginning. The fantasy character who wears the jacket is a royal of misfits, unafraid to be themselves.
